Tires - treadwear measurement, project scheduling and tire quality assurance

Tread-wear testing is an exacting science. It starts with alignment standards that are anything but standard, exact weight requirements for each corner of the vehicle, daily permutation of tires, repeatability and adherence to schedules begin the process. Calibration schedules for each and every piece of equipment, written procedures for each step in the process, technician training, certification and testing to assure complete competency are just the beginning.

Optimizing scheduling for multiple concurrent sets of tests in order to meet project engineer's timetables and deadlines is also science. It requires the ability and flexibility to adjust on the fly as interim data collection and reporting generates variances from originally designated protocols. Coordinating manpower, vehicles and tire sets to meet exacting turn round times in an economic and efficient manner isn't just a science, it verges on being an art.

Quality control, quality assurance and precise measurement and feedback of accumulated test data are the core mission of our tire testing programs.
